What I do

What is Therapeutic Coaching?

Bridging the Gap Between Therapy and Action

Therapeutic Coaching is a specialised, hybrid approach that combines the deep, restorative work of psychotherapy with the forward-moving, action-oriented strategies of life coaching.

At RecoveryWorks, I often describe my work as Therapeutic Coaching because recovery is rarely about just one thing. It requires understanding why we struggle (therapy) and learning how to move forward (coaching).

Who Is It For?

I often find that people take some time before they finally seek help for their issues or have tried therapy and found that it just didn’t help, and give up.

Therapeutic coaching may be for you if:

If you have felt “stuck” or found that traditional counselling felt too passive, while standard coaching felt too superficial for your deep-rooted triggers, Therapeutic Coaching offers a middle ground designed specifically for recovery.

Why Choose Therapeutic Coaching?

Recovery is a journey of “progress, not perfection.”

  • Understanding: We explore the root causes of your relationship with food (the “Why”).
  • Action: We implement strategies to change your daily behaviours (the “How”).
  • Support: You receive support that is both empathetic and empowering, helping you rediscover yourself beyond your eating issues.

Ready to Break the Cycle?
