Solution-Focused hypnotherapy

Another form of therapy I can use is hypnotherapy, either as an adjunct to counselling/ coaching in my VIP one-to-one therapy, or as stand alone.

What is it and how might it help me?
Solution-Focused hypnotherapy is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis.
Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful.
Solution-Focused hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in solution-focused hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).
Is it safe? Will I be under your control?
Hypnosis in a therapeutic setting is completely different from stage hypnosis and is NOT mind- control!
“Trance” or “hypnosis” describes times when we experience a shift in our conscious awareness. Did you know that we all naturally go in and out of trance states many times during the day? A good example of this is when we are driving. How many times have you got in the car, drove off, and arrived at your destination without consciously thinking about your journey? While we are in this kind of relaxed state we experience changes in our conscious awareness and the unconscious mind is more aware.. and then the mind can focus on helpful suggestions and thoughts. It is NOT mind – control!
This is why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be so beneficial, because it combines powerful solution-focused discussions, followed by encouraging a relaxing trance state so that the ideas and solutions discussed can then be explored and utilised by the brain for positive benefit.

How much does solution-focused hypnptherapy cost?
Sessions are £80 for 55- minutes and you also receive relaxation and a specific guided visualisation recording for you to use between sessions.
Generally we advise between 6 and 12 sessions of hypnotherapy and discounts for block booking (6 sessions) are available (£400 for 6 sessions, a saving of £80!)
