I'm Su Brampton-Mortley
Hello, I’m Su— and I’m really glad you’re here.
For many years I’ve supported people who feel stuck in unhealthy patterns they can’t seem to break, no matter how capable or determined they are in other areas of their lives.
My work has always centred on understanding why we do what we do — and helping people move toward calmer, more empowered, more fulfilling ways of living.
I began my career in healthcare as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and Registered General Nurse (RGN), which gave me a deep understanding of how our emotional and behavioural worlds affect every part of our wellbeing.
I later trained as a BACP‑Registered Counsellor, Therapeutic & Behaviour Change Coach, CBT‑E Therapist, and Solutions‑Focused Hypnotherapist, bringing together therapeutic depth with practical, forward‑focused strategies for lasting change.
My experience has shown me that people struggle not because they are weak or unmotivated, but because certain patterns were built for reasons that made sense at the time. Those patterns can be unlearned — with the right support, insight and tools.
I work with adults and young people who:
- Feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, food struggle or health worry
- Want to improve their relationship with food or body
- Experience binge eating or loss of control around eating
- Struggle with health anxiety or fear about symptoms
- Want lasting behaviour change, not another short‑term plan
- Are navigating weight change or GLP‑1 medication and want psychological support
If your experience sits at the overlap of mind, body and health — we are likely a good fit.
My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply collaborative. Nothing is off limits, and nothing you say will ever shock me. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening, understand what’s driving your patterns, and support you in taking steps that feel doable, compassionate and genuinely life‑enhancing.
If you’re ready for change — even if you’re scared, unsure or don’t know where to start — we can begin wherever you are.

I provide counselling and health coaching for individuals experiencing health anxiety, body image concerns, or disordered thoughts around food and wellbeing — helping you build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with yourself. You don’t have to navigate your worries alone. I offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore these challenges without judgement and move towards greater self-trust and wellbeing.
"Thank You Su for everything. I was able to be so open with you and you didn’t bat an eyelid at anything!
I felt completely able to speak openly and frankly about my bulimia and although I wouldn’t say I’m completely free of it yet, my binges have decreased so much. I have more money too!
My binges were costing me so much money. That’s a small bonus though. I’m healthier and happier and my relationship with my husband is so much better too."
